They have been made and marked by way of General Housewares Corp (GHC), an Indiana company, at their plant in Sidney, Ohio. The fifth piece was once made there too but no longer via GHC and that's the rationale the problem. GHC made Magnalite up until 1995 once they bought the title Magnalite and the plant. The 4th piece I own was once made in Ohio after 1995 by some other firm. Though it looks similiar in design, it is measurably 1 of 2 the thickness and weight of my mother's pieces. There is additionally every other company that is using the title Magnalite that's making them in China. Replacement sections for the new Magnalite is not going to fit the unique old items. So these dayss Magnalite is just now not the same as your mom's. Be advised.

I've now needed to replace the non-stick pans since the coating has started to peel, and my pans have by no implys heated as evenly as these of my mom's. I've invested in Magnalites, and I predict they will be the last cookware I'll ever buy.
